Seals for solar technology sector

As solar energy the energy of solar radiation is called, which can be used as electric current, warmth or chemical energy.

The seals used for this application needs not only to be ozone- and UV-resistant. They also need to possess the prerequisite regarding high temperatures by means of the permanent solar radiation.

A surface refinement by means of our high grade and permanent slip-coating systems lead to a reduction of friction and freeze protection. 

As reinforced materials we are using

  • punch strips
  • stamped metal strips
  • wire reinforced strips

delivered in a flat performance by certified suppliers.  

Before we are able to use the reinforced materials for the extrusion we have to shape it to an U-form by means of special bending tools regarding the required dimension and shape. 

By using threads within the profiles to prevent an elongation of the profiles during the assembly process we can assist your workers during the assembly to reach a high level regarding accuracy of fit.

A coextrusion combining a soft sponge rubber area (sealing area) and a hard dense rubber area (fitting area) is state of the art for us. A surface refinement by means of our high grade and permanent slip-coating systems lead to reduction of friction and freeze protection. 

High grade EPDM-profiles enable a flexible application even in cases of high temperature variations  (-35° to + 120° C.).
