We have been using Pixargus devices for years to monitor the surface of rubber profiles in the extrusion area: Surface defects can be detected, corrections can be made during production and the further processing or delivery of incorrect articles can be avoided. Since middle of March 2020 we have been using a device of the latest generation. In addition to surface defects, the new Pixargus can also detect coating defects and cross-sectional deviations, which were previously only discovered much later in production. This means that such defects are now also detected directly during the running process and production parameters are corrected at an early stage in order to make the process as optimal as possible.
For the optimal adjustment and control of the plant, Meteor has specialists from process engineering and production who support the operators in handling the unit.
